Apple Inc (AAPL  ) announced the release of iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2 and macOS Sequoia 15.2 on Wednesday morning, continuing its slow rollout of its AI-powered Apple Intelligence to devices.

What's New: The update brings the Image Playground, Genmoji and Writing Tools features to Apple products.

Image Playground allows to create images using artificial intelligence using text descriptions and images in their photo library. Playground generates images in several distinct styles, including animation and illustration. The feature is available in iMessage and also is a standalone app.

Genmoji is a similar image-generating tool dedicated to making emojis. Users can query an emoji they'd like made using a textbox and Apple Intelligence provides several results.

Several new features are also coming to the Notes app. Users can utilize the Image Wand tool to generate images in their notes. They can also opt for AI-powered rewriting, proofreading and summarizing tools for their written notes.

iPhone 16 Exclusive: The Camera Control feature introduced in iOS 18.2 is only available for iPhone 16 lineup users.

Camera Control uses visual information through a user's camera to summarize and copy text, translate text between languages, and detect phone numbers and email addresses.

What's Coming: Apple plans to introduce more AI-powered capabilities to devices soon. Upcoming additions include personalization upgrades to Siri, priority notifications and additional styles for Image Playground.
