The United States President Donald Trump declared a national emergency over the coronavirus pandemic on Friday. This emergency declaration will free up over $50 billion in financial resources the government can use to assist those affected by the outbreak. The Trump administration has also teamed up with the CEOs of Target (NYSE: TGT) and Walmart (NYSE: WMT) to offer "drive-thru" testing in their parking lots to help increase the rate of testing once more kits become available.

What Happened Today:
World Health Organization officials announced Friday that Europe has become the new epicenter of the pandemic. "More cases are now being reported [in Europe] every day than were reported in China at the height of its epidemic," WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated in a press conference.
A number of countries have closed their borders to international travel for an extended period of time. These countries include Czech Republic, Turkey, Pakistan, Oman, Iraq, Qatar, Ukraine, Slovakia, India and the United States. In addition, Israel has order a 14-day quarantine on anyone entering the country.
Google (NASDAQ: GOOGL) is working on a website for COVID-19 testing, according to an announcement by President Trump on Friday.
