Since Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger are run and controlled by Facebook, Instagram will need a notification that ultimately comes from Facebook. Oftentimes, users will worry that an error with their connections is occurring, so this is why Facebook would like to inform them when it is a mistake on their end, as opposed to an individual error.
"Through conversations with our community and extensive research, we know how confusing it can be when temporary issues happen on Instagram. When they impact engagement or distribution, we also know that it can lead people to think that the problems are unique to them, based on what they post. That lack of clarity can be frustrating, which is why we want it to be easier to understand what's going on, directly from us," Instagram stated in a blog post.
In addition to technical issues, Instagram would like to introduce a feature that is referred to as "Account Status," which will permit users to discover exactly what is going on with their accounts. This feature entails that users become more aware of what occurs with their posts, comments, and profiles, so that they know whether or not they all comply with Instagram community guidelines. In particular, the feature will allow individuals to see if their accounts are on the cusp of being disabled for going against these community guidelines.
Up ahead, Instagram intends to come out with new features that alert users exactly how their content is being spread and suggested throughout various parts of Instagram. With the new features that Instagram is introducing, the overall experience of the social media platform will surely be enhanced. It will make for a much smoother transition to ways that are more technologically advanced and user-friendly, which will ultimately work to the benefit of everyone.
