On Monday, Paramount Pictures deferred the release date of the famous Tom Cruise-led American action spy series from June 28, 2024, to May 23, 2025.
The sequel, earlier titled "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part Two," is listed now as "Mission: Impossible," USA Today reports.
Previously, Paramount had to pause the production in July while Tom Cruise and company ventured on an international promotion blitz for "Dead Reckoning."
"Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One" grossed $567.5 million worldwide, according to USA Today.
Paramount also postponed "A Quiet Place: Day One," a prequel to the post-apocalyptic horror series starring Lupita Nyong'o, from March 2024 to June 28, 2024.
The Hollywood strike also hindered several top big-screen attractions like the Marvel movies, including Venom and "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse."
The strike crossed over three months, with actors joining the picket line in July, causing a halt in Hollywood's TV and movie production.
