The game designer, Jack Emmert, and has worked on games such as "City of Heroes," "Neverwinter," "Star Trek Online," and "DC Universe Online."

This particular new addition to NetEase emphasizes the move on the part of the Chinese when it comes to taking advantage of overseas markets for earnings growth. Founder and chief executive of NetEase, William Ding, remarked in an earnings call in February that NetEase is "calling on global gaming talent and will accelerate overseas expansion."

This time of growth from NetEase, however, has come at a time during which the United States is giving much closer scrutiny to foreign companies. NetEase has already been successful with the creation of two gaming studios in Japan, which have focused on the establishment of "Lord of the Rings" and "Harry Potter" games.
