In recent news, Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) came out on the top of the JD Power's list concerning choices for United States drivers of plug-in electric cars. The survey included, from the viewpoint of global analytics, the U.S. Experience Charging Study, which polled approximately 6,647 owners of vehicles, such as the battery electric and plug-in hybrid, throughout the months of January to June.
Some of the data that the poll garnered from consumers was: whether the vehicles were difficult to use, the speed of the charging, expense of the charging, difficulty level when it comes to payment, comfort level and tidiness of location, and so on.
The poll revealed that United States electric vehicles owners overall feel bothered by an absence of appropriate choices. The public charging stations that they were able to reach proved to have out of service chargers and lengthy waiting times for lines, according to electric vehicle owners who took the poll. Electric vehicle owners also felt generally dissatisfied with the high expenses that have been linked to charging their cars.
"Owners are reasonably happy in situations where public charging is free, doesn't require a wait and the location offers other things to do - but that represents a best-case scenario," J.D. Power's Brent Gruber said in a press statement. "The industry needs to make significant investment in public charging to assure a level of convenience and satisfaction that will lure potentially skeptical consumers to EVs."
This particular survey has revealed that the majority of electric vehicle owners appreciate the simplicity with which they can charge their cars. The utilization of the DC fast charger for battery electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles ended up with an overall score of 737, which met the general goals and needs of consumers.
Since Tesla is now the first choice in JD Power's survey regarding top electric vehicles, more electric vehicles owners feel satisfied with purchasing the Tesla. The future of the Tesla electric vehicle may be unknown, but it seems to be headed in a more positive direction based on the general reaction of the public.
There are many factors to consider when it comes to the Tesla, but thus far, the good seem to outweigh the bad, which makes it a truly successful feat.
