Uber Eats To Roll Out AI Companion That Will Help You Pick Your Next Meal

With the rapid rise of artificial intelligence tools available, more and more companies are looking for ways to integrate the potentially transformative technology into their businesses. Uber Eats is no different.

Uber Eats is preparing to roll out an AI-powered chatbot that will help you decide what to eat for your next meal, according to a Bloomberg report. The report states that details of Uber's AI chatbot were discovered within the company's code by developer Steve Moser.

According to Moser, when users launch the chatbot, they will be met with a message that says the "AI Assistant was designed to help you find relevant restaurant dishes and more."

Uber Technology Inc's (NYSE: UBER) CEO Dara Khosrowshahi told Bloomberg a few weeks ago the company was working on an AI chatbot, but did not disclose more details. Some of Uber Eats' competitors, like DoorDash Inc (NYSE: DASH) and Instacart, are also working to integrate AI tools into their apps.

Uber Eats is a significant business vertical for Uber, accounting for nearly one-third of the company's revenue, according to Bloomberg. Uber hopes that its AI tools will help the Uber Eats part of the business stay ahead of other competitors in the space.
