Why 'Grimace' And 'Hamburglar' Crocs Are The Fashion Statement Of The Year: Announcing The McDonald's x Crocs Collection

McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) and Crocs (NASDAQ: CROX) are two well-known brands that do not at first glance seem to have a connection. However, the two companies joined forces to create an exclusive shoe collection that satisfies foodies and fashionistas around the world.

The McDonald's x Crocs collection, inspired by iconic McDonald's characters and the brand's loyal fan base, will feature a range of shoes, socks and Jibbitz™ charms that capture the essence of McDonald's in a fun and stylish way.

Crocs Inc. acquired Jibbitz, a producer of accessories designed for Crocs footwear, for $10 million in October 2006.

Fashion-forward people in over 30 countries can add a touch of McDonald's flair and Crocs' legendary all-day comfort together. The collection features a variety of designs, from a classic Crocs clog with a McDonald's twist to limited-edition styles inspired by beloved characters like Grimace, Birdie and the Hamburglar.

The McDonald's x Crocs collection pays homage to McDonald's rich history and culinary offerings, incorporating elements of the brand's identity into the designs. It offers four options of socks, shoes and Jibbitz - a purple Grimace version, a yellow and pink Birdie version, a black and white Hamburglar and a red and yellow McDonald's coloration clog with Jibbitz that resemble some of the chain's menu items.

Grimace fans can indulge in the cozy comfort of the Grimace x Crocs Cozzzy Sandal, lined with faux fur and adorned with Grimace's lovable expression and his favorite treat - a shake in the form of a Jibbitz™ charm. Introduced in 1971, the Grimace character was originally evil and would steal customers' milkshakes and sodas. A year later McDonald's changed Grimace into a clumsy but lovable character who loves milkshakes.

Early risers will appreciate the Birdie x Crocs Classic Clog, featuring Birdie's signature yellow and pink colors and her favorite menu item, a McDonald's Egg McMuffin, immortalized as a Jibbitz charm. Birdie the Early Bird features a pink jumpsuit, flight cap and scarf and became the first female McDonald's character when introduced in 1980.

For those who prefer a stealthier approach, the Hamburglar x Crocs Classic Clog embodies the Hamburglar's mischievous spirit with its black and white stripes and Jibbitz charms featuring his signature hamburger. Another original character launched in 1971, the Hamburglar is a small-sized thief who frequently stole hamburgers and cheeseburgers from Ronald and customers.

Beyond the fusion of fashion and comfort, the McDonald's x Crocs collaboration extends its reach to a noble cause. McDonald's will donate to Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC), a non-profit organization that provides support and resources to families with children undergoing medical treatment from its sales. Both brands show commitment to giving back to the community while bringing joy and style to their loyal customers.

Crocs frequently offers branded shoe collaborations; in the past, it featured Shrek and Lightning McQueen Crocs which proved popular.

With its playful designs, comfortable footwear and support for a worthy cause, this collection is sure to generate interest among fashion-forward foodies worldwide.
