Amazon (AMZN  ) Music recently announced the launch of DJ Mode, which is essentially a catalog of music that is streamed with the live experience of a DJ-hosted radio. There is a wide variety of genres of music that are able to be chosen from, such as hip-hop, country, and pop.

Amazon Music, in DJ Mode, will additionally feature musical facts, trivia, and insights regarding top or "hit" artists.

"We're continuing to revolutionize how listeners experience music, and with DJ Mode we're combining the best of streaming and traditional radio," Steve Boom, VP of Amazon Music, stated in a press release. "With DJ Mode, fans can stream music selected just for them, while enjoying the personality of DJ-hosted radio. We're also delighted that Billie Eilish is behind our first-ever artist-led DJ Mode experience, which gives fans access to her musical tastes and storytelling, hosted by one of the most innovative artists in the world."

Fans can choose to experience DJ Mode across any of Amazon's top stations - Rap Rotation, Country Heat, and All Hits - with many other stations following that. The DJ Mode stations involve song selection and the selection of personal tastes, as well as musical commentary that come along with each listen to every song with new musical releases.

DJ Mode can either be used with an Amazon Music Unlimited subscription or a limited Prime account in the United States, and the mode can be accessed by utilizing Alexa, asking her to put it in "DJ Mode." After putting it in DJ Mode, one would only need to ask Alexa to "play Rap Rotation in DJ Mode" or "play Country Heat in DJ Mode."

With DJ Mode as a brand new commodity of Amazon Music, users might be able to experience traditional radio in an "old school" way. Listeners will be able to absorb music in a richer, deeper, and fuller way, and have stronger control of music as a whole.
